Asha has extensive experience advising clients on complex corporate and commercial legal issues, specialising in mergers and acquisitions. She has a particular focus on New Zealand’s overseas investment regime, and has assisted a number of clients in obtaining consent to invest in New Zealand assets and sensitive land.
Asha also has significant experience advising on securities/financial markets law and financial services regulation, with a cross-border focus. She has assisted many overseas issuers with extending offers into New Zealand, and has advised a number of overseas investors on the NZX Listing Rules.
She also advises on general commercial contracting, privacy, and company administration.
Asha joined Quigg Partners in April 2007 as a member of the Corporate M&A team, and became a Partner of the firm in 2020. She completed her Bachelor of Laws (with Honours) and a Bachelor of Arts at Victoria University of Wellington.
